Easy & Secure Process Of Dependent Pass Scheme for Family Members

Bangladeshi's Dependent Pass Scheme for Family Members

When a family considers relocating to Bangladesh, the foreign employee’s spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 will be awarded a Dependent Pass scheme in Bangladesh. While the foreign employee will be given an Employment Pass or an Entrepreneur Pass to work lawfully in Bangladesh, each member of the family will need to make a separate application to be considered for a DP.

For your family members, NetworkBD can help with dependent pass applications, explanations of dependent pass schemes, tracking dependent pass status, and dependent pass renewal.

The Benefits For Dependent Pass Scheme

Unmarried children under 21 years old (both biological children and legally adopted children) of Employment or S Pass, EntrePass, or PEP holders earning at least S$6,000 a month can apply for a Dependent Pass Scheme.

If your baby is born in Bangladesh, the hospital will notify the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of the birth and provide an advice note. You can use these documents to register for a birth certificate.

The Special dependent Pass Scheme allows the newborn to stay in Singapore for 6 weeks. A passport for your baby should be obtained from your embassy or high commission during this period.

Bangladesh work visa holders’ common law spouses are not eligible for a dependent pass scheme. Nevertheless, they are usually eligible for a Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) if certain conditions are met.

Dependent Pass Scheme applications must be submitted by the employer of each Bangladesh work visa holder and for each eligible family member separately.

Pass scheme applications for DPs are typically processed within 3-5 weeks. As long as the Dependent Pass scheme application was submitted simultaneously with the Bangladesh work visa application, the outcome will most likely be known at the same time.
