Job Title: Vendor Database Manager
Job Overview: The Vendor Database Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining our vendor database, ensuring that vendor information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. The successful candidate will work closely with the procurement team, as well as other departments within the organization, to streamline vendor relationships and improve vendor performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the vendor database, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Develop and implement processes to streamline vendor data collection and management
- Analyze vendor data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with the procurement team to manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to identify vendor needs and ensure vendor performance meets expectations
- Develop and maintain vendor performance metrics and reports
- Conduct regular audits of the vendor database to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to vendor management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of vendor management software and databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience in negotiating favorable terms and conditions with vendors is a plus
