    STEP 1: LOOK FOR REGISTRATION OF TRADEMARK

    STEP 4: APPLICATION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

    Any person may raise a dispute within 2 (two) months of the trademark’s publication in the trademark journal by submitting a Notice of Opposition to the Registrar on Form TM-5. However, a government fee of $2,000 is require to pay for the notice of opposition (two thousand takas).

     

    STEP 8: REGISTRATION

     

    Following that, if there is no opposition to the trademark publication, the Registrar will notify you to pay the required fee after the 2 (two) month period has expired. After that receiving the fee, the Registrar will issue a Certificate of Registration for the trademark. From the date of filing, a registered trademark is valid for (7) seven years.

     

    STEP 09: RENEWAL OF TRADEMARK REGISTRATION:

     

    In Bangladesh, a trademark can be renew for an unlimited period of time by paying the renewal fees. Particularly failure to renew, on the other hand, may result in the removal of a registered trademark from the Register. The term of renewal can be up to ten years.
